Framework for Collaboration Framework for Group Initiatives: Principles and Processes for Working Together

In 2005, representatives from Calgary’s Family and Sexual Violence (FSV) sector came together to identify values and processes for joint and group initiatives. Together, we developed a Framework document outlining our agreements around values, expectations, and practices.

The Framework is intended to be a living document, and will continue to be reviewed and revised by the sector. If you have any comments or suggestions, please submit them using the form below. All comments will be collected and sent to the funders who supported the process. Suggestions will then be brought before the sector for consideration.

Please fill out the Framework for Collaboration feedback form located here.

Interim Evaluation Report: OSKÂYI KISKINOTAHN – NEW DIRECTIONS An external evaluator was commissioned in the Spring of 2003 to implement a comprehensive evaluation of the Program. This document is an executive summary of a third interim evaluation report and discusses the results of the first three group cycles. An Advisory Committee, comprised of representatives from YWCA Sheriff King Home, Aboriginal service providers and community providers who work with Aboriginal individuals assisted in the development of the evaluation framework and advised in the evaluation processes and approaches.

The long-term goal of the program is to ensure that the “participants have increased capacity for living a full and harmonious life through a balance of physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual well being.” This goal is achieved with a number of intermediate, short-term and initial outcomes in three streams: safety, spiritual/cultural linkages and resiliency to stress.
